The entrance gate building serves as security on the central production area of BASF Ludwigshafen. It is frequented by up to 5.000 labourers each day. In addition to its function for the security staff with changing rooms, showers and offices, the gate building contains a reception area in which visitors to BASF can check-in, receive visitor badges and learn about the factories. For orientation, a large site plan is part of the design of the wall behind the counter.
