Under the patronage of KoWo Erfurt GmbH, concepts for the construction of a modern residential complex with around 100 apartments in the north of Erfurt were to be planned in a competition ready for implementation. The competition entry for the new garden city on the landscape park Blütengrund shows a transparent and diversified design with spacious green areas.
The modular design allows an extremely high degree of prefabrication and thus decreases costs and time spent. Not only the building itself, but also the foundations are built in a prefabricated construction. The 2- to 5-room apartments are functionally designed with each one having a private outdoor area (balcony, patio, terrace) directly assigned to the apartment. The concept allows affordable living for a large number of residents including a high standard of living.
