Collegium Academicum among the finalists for the Wüstenrot Foundation Design Award
We are delighted that the Collegium Academicum in Heidelberg, realised by DGJ Architektur in collaboration with numerous project partners, has been shortlisted for the Wüstenrot Foundation Design Award 2026.
Following an on-site visit, the jury selected the project for the shortlist of finalists.
The Collegium Academicum is thus one of the 24 selected projects from a total of 342 entries.
This year’s Wüstenrot Foundation Design Award is themed ‘Building with less – living better’.
The finalists will be presented as part of a travelling exhibition and in an accompanying publication. The award ceremony will take place in Stuttgart in January 2027.
The Collegium Academicum combines communal living, self-organisation and sustainable timber construction to create an innovative housing model. The project was developed and implemented in close collaboration between the client, users, specialist planners and numerous other stakeholders.
We would like to thank all our project partners for their trust and cooperation, and we are delighted to receive this recognition.
