dgj255 Wohnidee Aschaffenburg
Wohnidee Aschaffenburg e.G. would like to enable community living and living for several generations on a cooperative basis. A multi-generation house with 40–50 residential units is planned in a central location in Aschaffenburg. The residential units should be of different sizes depending on needs and living concept.
The specifications of the development plan define two separate construction phases for two structures. The aim of the design of DGJ Architektur is to to overcome the separation of the buildings without deviating too far from the specifications of the development plan. The two buildings are therefore not only connected by a bridge, but also by a continuous spatial access axis, which makes the cohesion of the two buildings a spatial experience. Since all apartments and the communal uses on the ground floor are connected to this access, this central communal access area is also the most important meeting place for the residents.
